Barbara Best Hair

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2011 at Harvest Time Tabernacle honoring the life of Barbara Best Hair, 71, who died Friday, August 26, 2011 at her residence in Kaplan. She will be laid to rest at the Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Robert Wells Sr. officiating the services.

Mrs. Hair worked as the Director of Nurses and Administrator at Kaplan Healthcare Center for 40 years and recently worked at New Iberia Manor South. She also served on the Board of Directors at Harvest Time Tabernacle for over 25 years.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edwin T. Hair of Kaplan; one son, Cody Hair of Kaplan; one daughter, Joanna Sistrunk and her husband, Robert of Cypress, Texas; five grandchildren, Jessica Hair, Destiny Hair, Samantha Sistrunk, Sophie Sistrunk, and Noah Sistrunk; one sister, Sarah Best Darby and her husband, Earl of Abbeville; and one sister-in-law, Joy Best of Lafayette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Joycie Best; and her brother, William "Bill" Best Sr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Harvest Time Tabernacle, 901 Senior High Drive, Abbeville on Sunday, August 28, 2011 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m.; and continuing Monday, August 29, 2011 from 8 a.m. until services.
