Ann Claire Meaux

January 27, 1950 — August 28, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Ann Claire Meaux, 61, who died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Matthew Higginbotham officiating the services.

Ann Claire was retired from the Vermilion Parish School Board after having taught for over 30 years and was currently teaching at Redemptorist Catholic School in Crowley. She was also very active and held many positions in many civic organizations.

She is survived by her husband, Lenwood Meaux of Kaplan; her son, Everette Meaux and his wife, Meagan of Kaplan; one grandchild, Kloe' Ann Meaux; one brother, Gary Primeaux and his wife, Carol of Colony, Texas; two sisters, Darnelle Hebert of Kaplan and Patti-Jo Rentrop of Kansas; one sister-in-law, Linda Duhon Primeaux of Slidell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton and Nona Belle Bonin Primeaux; and one brother, Michael Primeaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, August 29, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
