Florence Henry Meyers

February 24, 1933 — September 5, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 8, 2011 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church honoring the life of Florence Henry Meyers, 78, who died Monday, September 5, 2011 at Vermilion Health Care Center.

She will be laid to rest at Leroy Cemetery with Reverend Gregory Simeon officiating the services.

She is survived by two sons, H. Lee Meyers Jr. and his companion, Tina Miller of Kaplan and David M. Meyers of Nashville, Tennessee; one daughter, Catherine Alice and her husband, Will Mair of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Rose Abshire of Kaplan; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; and two step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee Meyers; her parents, Dugas Henry and the former Octavine Broussard; two brothers; and one sister.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. when the procession will depart for church. A rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m.
