Joseph Aaron Dufour

December 5, 1920 — June 30, 2007

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2007, at Vincent Funeral Home, honoring the life of Joseph Aaron Dufour, 86, who died Saturday, June 30, 2007 at his residence in Abbeville.
Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Paul Broussard officiating.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Hilda Broussard Dufour of Abbeville; daughter, Cheryl Dufour Choate and husband Boyd W. of Abbeville; two grandsons, Dirk B. Choate and wife Jada of Abbeville and Cliff R. Choate of Abbeville; and three great grandchildren, Jade Michael Choate, Noelle Choate and Rylee Choate all of Abbeville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Blume Dufour; mother Celestine Rabalais Dufour; and five brothers, Lester, Neal, Lloyd, Johnny and Harvey Dufour.
Pallbearers will be Dirk Choate, Cliff Choate, Gary Dufour, Richard Dufour, Rodney Sagrera and John Howard Sloan.
The family request that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209, South Saint Charles Street, Abbeville, Saturday, June 30, 2007 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 1st, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
