Edward Trahan

April 1, 1939 — September 10, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Edward Trahan, 72, who died Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Maison duMonde Living Center. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Brother Tommy Henderson officiating the services.

Mr. Trahan was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 30 years and was dedicated to helping others improve their lives by means of the Bible. His relationship with his Heavenly Father was of utmost importance to him. He loved his family very much and spent his life working for their benefit.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years and faithful caregiver, Faye Trahan of Kaplan; two daughters, Paulette and her husband Todd Guidry of Maurice and Amy and her husband Garry McGlasson of New Iberia; two grandchildren, Jacob and Alison Guidry; his father, Carra Trahan of Kaplan; one sister, Nora and her husband Irby Bernard of Lafayette; and three brothers, Norbert Trahan of Kaplan, Kendale Trahan and his wife, Katie of Palm Desert, CA and Wayne Trahan and his wife, Susan of Kaplan.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mazie Meaux Trahan.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.; Monday, September 12, from 8 a.m. until services.
