Louisiana "Noot" Lege

Gueydan—Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan honoring the life of Louisiana Trahan Lege, 83, who died Monday, September 19, 2011 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Lege Cemetery with Reverend Thurman Floyd officiating the services.

She is survived by four sons, Willis James Lege Sr. and his wife, Edna of Kaplan, John Wilfred Lege Jr. and his wife, Juanita of Gueydan, Jesse Roy Lege Sr. of New Jersey, and Michael Lloyd Lege Sr. and his wife, Marilyn of Gueydan; four daughters, Mary Floyd and her husband, Thurman of Kaplan, Gloria Hoffpauir and her husband, Roy of Rayne, Theresa L. Broussard and her husband, Patrick of Gueydan, and Nella Viator and her husband, Allen of Gueydan; two sisters, Mary Pratt of Waco, Texas and Jenell Vincent of Estherwood; one brother, Elvin "Pat" Trahan of Pollock; 27 grandchildren; 73 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wilfred Lege Sr.; one daughter, Peggy Marie Lege; parents, O'Lucien Trahan and the former Dalphina Myers; three brothers, Thomas, Nalton and Oscar Trahan; one sister, Helen Trahan Lege; one grandson, Johnny Wilfred Hoffpauir; two great grandsons, Marcus Roy and Nathan Lee Hoffpauir.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 from 2 p.m. until services on Thursday, September 22, 2011.
