Irene Marie Hudson

October 31, 1922 — September 18, 2011

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2011 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Irene Marie Dore Hudson, 88, who died Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Eastridge Nursing Center.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.

Pallbearers will be Ty Lege, Drew Lege, Chris Rood, Shane Rippon, John Rippon and Chris Michael.

She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Hudson Lege and her husband Tommy of Erath and Debra Hudson Rood and her husband Charles of Youngsville; four grandchildren, Ty Lege, Drew Lege, Kayla Rood and Tricia Rood; and step grandson, Chris Rood.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dowell Hudson; parents, Willie Dore and the former Marie Romero; brothers, Wilson Dore and Wilton Dore; and sisters, Linda D. Blanchard, Edmae D. Harrington and Olga D. Landry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church; with a rosary to be prayed at noon.
