ABBEVILLE —Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at St. Paul Cemetery honoring the life of Lurphy Joseph Mire, 75, who died Sunday, September 25, 2011 at a Lafayette hospital.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Preston Frederick officiating the services.

He is survived by his two sons, Kurt Lance Mire and Scotty Blaine Mire; two brothers, Murphy Mire and Mercy Mire; two sisters, Effie Theriot and Eva Duhon; and six grandchildren, Scotty Latiolais, Dylan Lance Mire, Karrie Dawn Mire, Rena Ann Mire, Justice Makayla Mire and Noah James Frederick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Obain Mire and the former Marie Gerard; son, Micky Wayne Mire; brother, Ophie Mire; and sister, Glayds M. Babin.
