Hazel Marie Mallet Vincent

October 12, 1923 — September 29, 2011

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Monday, October 3, 2011 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Hazel Marie Mallet Vincent, 87, who died Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Eastridge Nursing Center.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Gregory Simien officiating the services.

Hazel was a member of the American Legion Auxillary and Woodmen of the World. She also loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by one son, Glen Dale Vincent of Abbeville; one daughter, Brenda Vincent Frederick and her husband, John of Leroy; two grandchildren, Amanda Frederick Baldridge and her husband, Blake, and Christopher John Frederick; three great grandchildren, Jace, Cale and Bryce Baldridge all of Leroy; one brother, O.J. Mallet of Bayou Vista, LA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Paul Vincent; parents, Adler and Alida Soirez Mallet; one sister, Gladys Mallet Doucet Prestwood.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 8:30 a.m. until service time on Monday, October 3, 2011. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Sunday.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Hospice of Acadiana, Dr. Lahasky and all employees of Eastridge Nursing Center for their kindness, compassion and gentle care given to their mother at her time of need.
