Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, October 10, 2011 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. David Chapel honoring the life of Lennie Saltzman, 88, who died Sunday, October 9, 2011 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.
She is survived by her husband, Nelson Saltzman of Kaplan; five sons, Enson Saltzman and his wife, Shirley, Lawrence Saltzman and his wife, Marcella, Nelson "Tit" Saltzman Jr., Neelis "Pio" Saltzman and his wife, Dana, and Larry Saltzman and his wife, Maxine Saltzman, all of Kaplan; two daughters, Maudrey Gaspard of Sulphur and Kathleen and her husband, Carl Lemaire of Kaplan; one sister, Ozia Meaux of Lake Charles; 19 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam LeBlanc and the former Ematile Bourque; and several brothers and sisters.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, October 9, 2011 from 3 p.m. until services on Monday, October 10, 2011. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday.
