Marjorie Thomas Reinsch Kirkpatric

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 13, 2011 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Marjorie Thomas Reinsch Kirkpatric, 94, who died Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles.

She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.

Marjorie was born in Abbeville and lived there all her life.

She is survived by one son, Thomas A. Reinsch of Sulphur; two daughters, Marlene R. DeRouen and her husband, Larry of Lake Charles and Elizabeth Hudson and her husband, Bobby of Baton Rouge; sister, Alyne Mott of Lafayette; seven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M.L. Thomas; first husband, Alvin Reinsch; second husband, Paul Kirkpatric; daughter, Patsy Kirkpatric; brothers, Louis, Lester, Allen and Alfred Thomas; and sister, Ruth T. Latour.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 300 Pere Megret Street, on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from noon until time of services.

In lieu of flowers, Marjorie requested that donations be made to the Christian Service Center or St. Mary Magdalen Maintenance Fund.
