Roicey O. Desormeaux

June 18, 1930 — October 14, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Roicey O. Desormeaux, 81, who died Friday, October 14, 2011 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Cossinade Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Margie Hebert Desormeaux of Kaplan; two daughters, Lisa and her husband Jerry Broussard of Kaplan and Ellen and her husband Quintin Boudreaux of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Amie and her husband Timothy Magnon of Erath, Michelle Broussard, Matthew and Emily Boudreaux all of Lafayette and Tylor Desormeaux of Kaplan; and two great grandchildren, Haylie and Natalie Magnon of both of Erath.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edias Desormeaux and the former Lelia Broussard, one son, James Desormeaux, one brother, Edias Desormeaux Jr. and one infant son, Michael James Desormeaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, October 17, from 10 a.m. until services.
