Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July17, 2007 at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville 209 South Saint Charles St. for Lloyd Abshire, 72, of Abbeville who died Saturday, July 14, 2007 in Kaplan.
He is survived by four brothers, Bernard Ray, Loice Jean “L.J.”, Norman Errol and Roger Dale “Pancho” Abshire; three sisters, Anna Lou Meaux, Agnes Lee Viator and Linda A. LeBlanc.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Odea and Olita Abshire, five brothers, Odea Abshire Jr., Eugene, Nolan George, Richard and Jimmie Abshire and one sister Mary Lou Falcon.
Visiting hours will be observed Monday, July 16, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
Burial will be in St. Mary cemetery.
