Ella Mae Vallo

Gueydan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan honoring the life of Ella Mae Vallo, 72, who died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at American Legion Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Noah Langley officiating the services.

She is survived by five sons, Keith Rabalais and wife, Donna of Crowley, Wade Rabalais of Jackson, Mississippi, Eddie Rabalais and wife, Robyn of Hathaway, Charley Vallo and wife, Kassia of Lafayette, and Patrick Vallo and wife, Jennifer of Lafayette; stepson, Chad Vallo and wife, Maureen of Gueydan; daughter, Mary Baudoin and husband, Joe of Kaplan; stepdaughters, Melissa Hargrave and husband, Ricky of Gueydan and Roslyn Vallo of Gueydan; sister, Barbara Breaux of Gueydan; brother, Rodney Istre Sr. of Gueydan; 24 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Istre and the former Eda Potier; sister, Marie Lormand; brother, E.J. Istre; and grandson, William Keith Rabalais Jr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Friday, October 28, 2011 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m.; Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 8 a.m. until services.
