Abbeville—Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Allen Joseph Mire, 87, who died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Abbeville General Hospital.

Deacon Randy Hyde will be officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, Lovenia Marie Schexnaider Mire of Abbeville; two sons, Steven Ray Mire of Forked Island and Edward Mire and his wife Sarah of Abbeville; three daughters, Verna M. Bourque of Abbeville, Rena Touchet of Abbeville and Emily Gaspard of Abbeville; brother, Theo Mire of Nunez; sisters, Tina Lege of Crowley, Evilia Primeaux of Crowley; 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean Baptist Mire and the former Emily Broussard; Daughter, Virginia Trahan; Brothers, Preston and Acey Mire.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Sunday, December 4, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
