Elida Thomas Caillot

August 18, 1915 — July 29, 2007

Funeral services will be held at 1 :30 p.m. Monday, July 30,2007 at Vincent Funeral Home honoring the life of Elida Thomas Caillot, 91, who died July 27, 2007 at Abbeville General Hospital.
She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery.
Elida's family would like to express a special word of gratitude to Dr. Andrew Harwood and Dr. Ronald Lahasky and their staff. Also, a word of "thanks" to the staff of Eastridge Assisted Living and Abbeville General Hospital.
She is survived by one son, Henri Caillot of Los Angeles, California; two granddaughters, Denise McCarther of Chicago, Illinois and Rene Locicero of Aspen, Colorado; her twin brother, A.J. and his wife Helen B. Thomas of Abbeville; several loving nieces and nephews; longtime friend Lola "Nipsy" Rawls; and a special friend and caretaker, Shirley Simon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lucien Marie Caillot; one daughter, Elaine Hunley Breaux; and four daughters, Elaine T. Caldwell, Frances P. Thomas, Minnie T. Delahoussaye and Marjorie T. Villien.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Sunday, July 29th from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m. and will continue on Monday, July 30th from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
