Mahlen Faulk

October 17, 1929 — December 3, 2011

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, December 5, 2011 at a 2 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Mahlen Faulk, 82, who died Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce Faulk of Kaplan; one daughter, Janet Faulk Broussard and her husband, Mark Broussard of Kaplan; his sister, Mary and her husband J.B. Pere' of Kaplan; 5 grandchildren, Shyla and her husband, Brigg McDaniel, Hollie and her husband, Chris Fontenot, Magon Broussard, Travis Broussard and Resha Broussard; and 4 great grandchildren, Dylan McDaniel, Dylan Fontenot, Kennedy Fontenot and Sydney McDaniel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Faulk and the former Mabel Langlinais; one brother, Louis Faulk; and two sisters, Elaine Hebert and Lou Duhon.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, December 5, 2011 from 8 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when procession will depart for the church, a rosary will be prayed at 11 a.m.
