Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at an 11 a.m. Friday, December 16, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Lovelace Leonard, 90, who died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at Teche Regional Medical Center. He will be laid to rest at Greene Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife, of 65 years, Anita Lemaire Leonard of Forked Island; one son, Ronald Leonard and his wife Debbie of Bridge City, Texas; one daughter, Judy Ann and her husband Robert Darby of Morgan City; one brother, Ewell Leonard of Hayes; one sister, Mildred Meaux of Kaplan; eight grandchildren, Chris and Melissa Leonard, Chad and Troy McNiel, Kelly Vining, Tiffany Crappell, Tim and Robbie Darby and eight great grandchildren .

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fernand Leonard and the former
Edna Gaspard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, December 15, 2011 from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, December 16, 2011 from 8 a.m. until services.
