Alcide Joseph Meaux

December 1, 1946 — December 15, 2011

Kaplan — Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Kaplan Cemetery honoring the life of Alcide Joseph Meaux, 65, who died Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

He is survived by two daughters, Melissa and her husband, Byron Mire of Kaplan and Donna and her husband, Marcus McDaniel of Kaplan; three brothers, Anthony "Tony" Meaux and his wife, Willie of Kaplan, Ellic Meaux Jr. and his wife, Karen of Bridge City, TX, and Francis Meaux of Kaplan; four grandchildren, Megan Breaux, Cole Mire, Brock McDaniel, and Brody McDaniel; one great grandchild, Sadie Trahan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellic Meaux and Lannie Marceaux; three sisters, Betty Ann Joyce Meaux, Louann Meaux, and Earlene Meaux; and one brother, Wilton Jared Meaux, Sr.
