Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of June Marie Landry Simon, 49, who died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband, Arne Todd Simon of Kaplan; two sons, Arne Todd Simon II and Austin Simon, both of Kaplan; four daughters, Elysse, Kayla, Emily, and Katie Simon, all of Kaplan; her parents, Sidney Landry and the former Geraldine Hayes of Jennings; one sister, Karen and her husband, Marcus LeJeune of Iota; two brothers, Paul Landry and his wife, Marla of Jennings and Edward Landry and his wife, Jackie of Welsh; and her father and mother-in law, Ted and Viella Simon of Kaplan.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Landry; and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hayes.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession departs for the church.
