Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007 at a 3:00 p.m. service at Vincent Funeral Home honoring the life of Virginia Sharp Piazza, 70, who died Friday, August 3, 2007 at her residence in Abbeville. She will be laid to rest in St. Paul Cemetery with Pastor Rod Reynolds officiating the services. Pallbearers include Cyd Howard, Joshua Vincent, Drae’ Head, Andi Head, Victor Vincent and George Head. Virginia was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She is survived by a son, Patrick Charles Piazza and wife Lori Faulk of Abbeville; four daughters, Jennifer Sonnier and husband Daren “Boo” of Abbeville, Tonya Piazza of Many, LA, Kimberly Vincent and husband Victor of Abbeville, Ginger Head and husband George of Abbeville; and ten grandchildren, Tabatha R. Warren, Cyd Howard, Brook Piazza Ferguson, Brandy Sonnier, Joshua Vincent, Kacie Piazza, Drae’ Head, Andi Head, Sage Vincent and Lexie Head all of Abbeville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Charles “Tutsie” Piazza; father, John Eula Sharp; mother, Sarah Della Blount Sharp, a sister, Pauline Kinross and a brother John Vernon Sharp. The family request that visitation be observed from 8:00 a.m. till service time on Monday, August 6, 2007 at Vincent Funeral Home of Abbeville. The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana, her nurse Joe and her aid Vanessa.
