Neva Broussard Herpin

Ms. Neva was an avid reader and she also enjoyed playing cards with her dear friends. She loved gardening which included flowers, vegetables, and fruit. Above all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchild.
She is survived by three sons, Carlton Herpin and wife, Glenda, Luther Herpin and wife, Karen "KK", and Luddy Herpin and wife, Shirley, all of Kaplan; 8 grandchildren, Chris Herpin and wife, Andi of Kaplan, Kim and husband, Michael Gedgoudas of Birmingham, Alabama, Jason Herpin and wife, Lori of Kaplan, Brant Herpin of Kaplan, Scott Herpin of Kaplan, Shamayne and husband, Keith Istre of Maurice, Shay Herpin and wife, Aimee of Kaplan, and Shana and husband, Scott Broussard of Kaplan; 17 great grandchildren, Victoria, Michaela, and Ridge Herpin, Taylor Herpin, Andrew and Sidney Gedgoudas, Taylor Lemaire, Jade and Alex Herpin, Lance and Laine Herpin, Skyla and Mitchell Herpin, Sara Corinne and Kylie Istre, and Gabe and Grayson Broussard; and one great-great grandchild, Parker Hebert.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Joseph T. "Gabie" Herpin; daughter, Carol Herpin; grandsons, Dane and Thad Herpin; great granddaughter, Amelia Broussard; parents, Pierre Romeal Broussard and the former Eve Guidry; sister, Carrie Leleux; stepsister, Lily Mae Duhon; stepbrother, Douglas LeBeouf; and halfsister, Jeanelle Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, January 2, 2012 from 9 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
In lieu of flowers, the Herpin family requests that memorial donations in memory of Neva Herpin be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Post Office Box 2151 (501 St. Jude Place) Memphis, TN 38101-2151 ( [email protected] ).
