Cara Sue Blanchard

March 21, 1952 — December 29, 2011

Abbeville—Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Cara Sue Blanchard, 59, who died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family.

Cara Sue was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, caring for her animals, reading and cooking. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her life partner, Charles Barthlemy of Buras, LA; sons, Richard "Dale" LeLeux, Jr. and fiancee Tiffany Wilberger of Breaux Bridge and Damon LeLeux and wife Kimberly of New Brunfels, TX; daughters, Shara LeLeux and friend Stephen Girard of Abbeville and Sharla LeLeux and friend Donald Suire, Jr. of Abbeville; brother, Ivy Blanchard and wife Melba Jane of Abbeville; sisters, Patty Gross and husband Edward of Erath and Debora Hebert and husband Charles of Erath; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Isaac Blanchard; mother, Edith Romero; and nephew, Christopher Blanchard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, December 30, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until time of services.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heart of Hospice for the service and care they gave to Ms. Cara Sue.
