Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, January 2, 2012 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Peggy DeBlanc Butler, 48, who died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Nick Koch, Anthony Casbon, Clint Hebert, Damien DeBlanc, Zepherin Lege, and Mitchell LeMaire. Honorary pallbearers will be Hank and Kollin Koch. Readers for the mass will be London Hebert and Flo Lege and the giftbearers will be Jada Garnica, Bailey DeBlanc, and London Hebert.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Chuck Butler of Erath; one daughter, Kristi and her husband, Nick Koch of Fannett, TX; one sister, Flaudry LeMaire of Duson; one brother, Donald DeBlanc of Maurice; two grandchildren, Hank and Kollin Koch; nieces, Roseanna Casbon, Marcya Garnica, Daphne Hebert, Victoria Savoy, Sandra LeMaire, Lisa LeMaire, Charlene Cashat, and Marlene LeMaire; and nephews, Damien DeBlanc, Todd LeMaire, and Mitchell LeMaire.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy DeBlanc and the former Maudry Lege; one sister, Judy DeBlanc; and one nephew, Donny DeBlanc.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, January 1, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until services on Monday, January 2, 2012. A rosary will be prayed Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
