Lucille Greene Pere'

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at a 3 :00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial
in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Lucille G. Pere', the former Lucille
Marie Greene, 92, who died August 5, 2007 at Abbeville General Hospital.
She will be laid to rest in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Father Glenn Meaux officiating the
servIces.
Lucille was a loving wife and mother. She was devoted to her husband, children and
grandchildren.
She is survived by her four daughters, Gloria Eleazar and Helen LaGrange of Abbeville, Judy
Harrington of Lafayette and Melissa Pere' of Kaplan; three sons, George Pere' and friend
Henrietta of Abbeville, John Pere', Jr. and his wife Phyllis of Eunice, Joey Pere' and his wife
Nita of Kaplan; two sisters, Irene G, Hanks of California and Belle G. Noel of Abbeville; fifteen
grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, J .M. "Dick" Pere'; her parents, George M.
and Marie Motty Greene; son-in-laws, Henry Eleazar, Donald LaGrange and Ted Harrington;
eight brothers, Warren, William, Walter, Marion, Preston, Roy, Presley, Lovelace; and two
sisters, Mary Lou Griffin and Laura Hanks.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Donald LaGrange, Jr., Teddy, Jr. and Peter Harrington, Henry
Eleazar, John ill, Jude, Dominique and JoJo Pere'.
Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters, Anne and Mary Eleazar, Julie, Beth, Susan and
Jill LaGrange and Simone Pere'; and godsons, Donald Greene and Lynn Thibeaux; and friends,
J.B. Pere' and Jessie Landry.
The family would like to thank Acadian Home Care especially Dollie Timori and Phyllis Kay,
Dr. Kerry Schexnayder, and Hospice of Acadiana.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South Saint
Charles, Abbeville on Monday, August 6th from 12:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will continue on
Tuesday, August 7th from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
