Joseph "Joe" Comeaux

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 5, 2012 at a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Chapel honoring the life of Joseph Comeaux, 76, who died Sunday, January 1, 2012 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend David Broussard officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lucy Lee Montgomery Comeaux of Kaplan; three sons, Marlon Comeaux and his wife, Karen of Powder Springs, Georgia and Wendell and Kendell Comeaux, both of Kaplan; four daughters, Stephanie and her husband, Dwain Johnson of Kaplan, Vanessa Comeaux of Kaplan, Karen and her husband, Larry Carter of San Antonio, Texas, Melanie and her husband, Jansen Drake of Smyrna, Georgia; one sister, Mary Comeaux Etienne of Lafayette; two brothers, Wilbert and Ernest Comeaux, both of Houston, Texas; twelve grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney Comeaux and the former Olivia Living; one sister, Mildred Baylor; and three brothers, Calvin, Albert and Junis Comeaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, January 5, 2012 from 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church, with a rosary being prayed at 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
