Darrell James Neveaux

February 20, 1954 — January 4, 2012

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2012 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Darrell James Neveaux, 57, who died Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Father Scott DesOrmeaux officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Cory Neveaux, Blake Neveaux, Mike Neveu, Tony Frederick, Chad Bodin and Shannon Romero.

Darrell was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Matthews Neveaux of Abbeville; nephews, Cory Neveaux and his wife Rhonda of Abbeville and Blake Neveaux of Lafayette; great nephews, Carrington and Cole Neveaux who were the lights of his life; and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy Neveaux and the former Dorothy Richard; and brother, Ronald Neveaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Thursday, January 5, 2012 from noon until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Friday, January 6, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
