Lula Mae Boudreaux Preston

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Lula Mae Boudreaux Preston, 80, who died Monday, January 16, 2012 at her residence.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

She is survived by her three sons, Ernest L. Trahan and his wife Claudette of Abbeville, Russell J. Trahan and his wife Karen of Malaysia, and Lawrence M. Preston, Jr. and his wife Marisol of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Cheryl T. Guidry of Abbeville; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; siblings, Colastie Boudreaux of Abbeville, Martha B. Primeaux of Lafayette, Aline B. Hargrave of Abbeville, Beulah Boudreaux of Meaux, Eula B. Baudoin and her husband Thomas Wayne of Maurice, Joseph L.J. Boudreaux and his wife Diane of Abbeville, Alfred Boudreaux and his wife Gail of Lafayette; brother-in-law, Jimmy Coker; and friend, Paul Duhon of Kaplan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victorian Boudreaux and the former Marie Elina Simon; husband, Lawrence M. Preston, Sr.; friend, Darrel Delino; brother, Joseph Jesse "J.C." Boudreaux, and sisters, Jeanne Boudreaux and Elaine Ann B. Coker.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, January 19, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
