Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012 at a 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Ursule Touchet Duhon, 90, who died Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Abbeville General Hospital.
She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Joseph Breaux officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Patrick Vincent, Jacob Vincent, Jace Vincent, Blane Comeaux, Chuck Schof and Michael Landry.
Ms. Duhon had a love for Country and French music. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Gloria Vincent and her husband Tommy of Leroy, and Theresa Duhon Steen of Abbeville; four grandchildren, Patrick Vincent and his wife Tammy, Angela Landry and her husband Michael, Katherine Comeaux and her husband Blane, and Dr. Vicki Steen and her husband Chuck Schof; eight great grandchildren, Jacob Vincent and his wife Danielle, Jace Vincent, Lani Landry, Ethan Comeaux, Grace Comeaux, Hannah Schof, Phoebe Schof and Anderson Schof; sister, Enolia Frederick of Abbeville; two sister-in-laws, Olita Touchet of Abbeville and Mary Duhon of Abbeville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ledian J, Duhon; parents, Bernard Touchet and the former Kate Anna Collins; four brothers, Manson Touchet, Nelson Touchet, Clodis Touchet and Lovelace Touchet; three sisters, Ella Chauvin, Stella Labat and Zulmay Reaux.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
