George Dartez

January 25, 1935 — February 16, 2012

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of George Dartez, 77, who died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette. He will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

He is survived by his former wife of 10 years, Ella H. Bertrand of Baldwin; four nieces, Veronica and her husband, Willis Hebert of Kaplan, Janney and her husband, Tommy Fleming of Drew, Mississippi, Margaret and her husband, David Rushing of Indianola, Mississippi, and Donna Lynn Langlinais of Forked Island; three nephews, Sabry F. Broussard Jr. and his wife, Lynn of Springfield, Missouri, Frank James Broussard of Yazoo City, Mississippi, and Marion Paul Broussard and his wife, Claire of Abbeville; one sister, Darothy Mae Broussard of Indianola, Mississippi; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaston Dartez and the former Edna Blanchard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Monday, February 20, 2012 from 8 a.m. until services.
