Clara Leone Ellison Erath
August 4, 1918 — February 22, 2012
Clara was an honorary President General of the Daughters of the Confederacy. She was interested in the Civil War era. She was a member of the Abbeville United Methodist Church for over 35 years.
She is survived by her three daughters, Louise Erath Hebert of Abbeville; Susan Erath and her husband Thomas Fallath of Albuquerque, NM, and Susan Anne McKurtis and her husband Terry of Wichita Falls, TX; sister, Lily Emmrick of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Anthony Bordon, Mary Page, Russell Weinburger, Billy Weinburger and Kay McKurtis; and great grandchildren, Danielle Weinburger, Jessica Weinburger and Grace Bordon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Wilbur Erath; parents, John Curtis Ellison and the former Myrtle Compton; and brother, Johnny Ellsion.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asked that donations be sent to Abbeville United Methodist Church, 213 N. State Street, Abbeville, LA 70510.
