Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Ellen Louise Menard, 54, who died Friday, February 24, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Andy Hayes officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband, Elridge Menard of Kaplan; her son, Kevin Hebert and his wife Christine of Kaplan; her daughter, Keisha Menard and her fiance' Robert Meaux of Kaplan; one sister, Linda Abshire and her fiance' Fernest Mouton of Kaplan; three brothers, Alvis Abshire and his wife Ethel of Bossier City, Russell Abshire and his wife Callie of Kaplan and Gerald Abshire of Arizona; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Hebert; and three brothers, Wesley, Mahlan and Richard Abshire.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 9 a.m. until services.
