Ursin "Tee" "Corm" Cormier

April 23, 1928 — March 6, 2012

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Ursin Cormier, 83, who died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Kendal Faulk officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Sam Broussard Jr., Kade Abshire, Kameron Abshire, Christopher Abshire, Stanley Cormier, and Willie Cormier.

He is survived by his godchild and caretaker, Ann and her husband, Kent Abshire of Kaplan; numerous other godchildren; one sister, Beatrice Benoit of Kaplan; two brothers, Marcelius Cormier and Elzie "Red" Cormier and his wife, Edna, all of Kaplan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Meaux Cormier; parents, Alcide Cormier and the former Olita Abshire; two sisters, Elizabeth (Clarence) Broussard and Leonie (Joe) Turner; and one stepbrother, Antoine Cormier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. until services, with a rosary being prayed at 10 a.m.
