Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Monday, March 12, 2012 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Alton John Vincent, 67, who died Friday, March 9, 2012 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Kendal Faulk officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Barbara Vincent of Kaplan; son, Jonathan Shane Vincent and his wife, Tammy of Meaux; daughter, Valetia and her husband, Fred Mire of Kaplan; sisters, Mildred Vincent of Kaplan and Myrtis Cotton of Moss Bluff; brother, Paul Wilton Vincent and his wife, Sandy of Kaplan; and six grandchildren, Jacque Vincent, Amie Vincent, Hayden Vincent, Hunter Vincent, Tyler Stelly, and Kameron Stelly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elin Vincent and the former Estella Primeaux; and his godchild, Timothy Sams.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Monday, March 12, 2012 from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
