Beatrice "Miss Bea" Frederick
November 13, 1945 — March 20, 2012
She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Craig Frederick, Ryun Frederick, Stephen Frederick, David Orgeron, Tony Faulk and Hunter Orgeron. Honorary pallbearer will be Lane Frederick.
Miss Bea was active in the Carousel of Arts, Abbeville Symphony, Lafayette Photographic Society, and Beausoleil - Famille. She was a parishioner of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church were she taught catechism for more than 25 years. Often seen with cameras around her neck, she took pictures of civic and cultural activities throughout Vermilion Parish, including First Communions, Confirmations, and countless weddings.
Her greatest joy was the time she spent cooking, being with family and following her grandchildren across the parish as they participated in various activities.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Daniel R. Frederick; daughters, Angela F. Faulk and her husband, Tony, and Cathy F. Orgeron and her husband, David; sons, Craig N. Frederick and his wife, Carleen, Ryun D. Frederick and his wife, Felicianna, and Stephen D. Frederick and his wife, Brook; grandchildren, Kali Ann Broussard, Taylor Danielle Orgeron, Hunter David Orgeron, Victoria Claire Frederick, Lane Craig Frederick, Bailey Claire Frederick, Justin P. Faulk, Tyler S. Faulk, Mindy A. Orgeron; three great grandchildren; sisters, Delores B. Tise, Beverly B. LeBlanc and her husband, Curney, and Judy K. Broussard; and a long list of in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; after all she was a Broussard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lydie B. Broussard and Nelson J. Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, March 22, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
