Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Shelby Paul Vaughn, 63, who died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Lafayette General Medical Center. He will be laid to rest at LeMaire Cemetery with Deacon David Vaughn officiating the services.

He is survived by three daughters, Reneé Vaughn of Kaplan and her fiancé, Seth Fontenot of Vinton, Olivia Vaughn and her fiancé, Brett Frederick of Kaplan, and Falon Decuir of Abbeville; one sister, Dean Stelly Veazey of Forked Island; two brothers, David Vaughn of Cow Island and Alvin "Moose" Vaughn of Cow Island; and three grandchildren, Ava and Emily Frederick and Bailey Fontenot.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reynold Vaughn and the former Wilda Gaspard; and one brother, Ronald Vaughn.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Wednesday, March 28, 2012 from 8 a.m. until services.
