Mary Armosa Frederick

March 7, 1929 — April 8, 2012

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Mary Armosa Frederick, 83, who died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Chester Arceneaux officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Billy Mayer, Thomas Frederick, Derek Williams, Ray Stelly, Mike Stelly and Dale Stelly.

She is survived by her three sons, Tommy Frederick and wife Stacey Longman Frederick of Maurice, Marvin Lee Frederick of Abbeville and Charlie Frederick of Abbeville; daughter, Marlene Frederick Mayer and husband Bobby Mayer of Melrose NM; special sister-in-law, Evelyn C. Stelly; six grandchildren, Billy Mayer, Julie Mayer Williams, Thomas Frederick, Paige Frederick, Christopher Frederick and Heidi Frederick; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Frederick; father, Zenon Stelly; mother, Artimise Meaux Stelly; brothers, John, George, Dennis, Galva, Lenis, Lenet and Gaston Stelly; sisters, Edith Matte and Azelie Trahan.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.

The family would like to thank the staff at Belle Teche Nursing Home and the Chronic Care Unit at Lafayette General.
