Hilda Hargrave

January 22, 1934 — April 19, 2012

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Marie Hilda Breaux Hargrave, 77, who died Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Vermilion Health Care Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Keith Landry officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Derrick Hebert, Kovin Gaspard, Marlin Cormier, Skyler Hargrave, Zachary Hargrave and Brock Hargrave.

She is survived by three sons, Wayne Hargrave and his wife, Veronica of Kaplan, Curtis Hargrave and his wife, Connie of Kaplan and Jody Hargrave and his wife, Angela of Maurice; two daughters, Barbara and her husband, Kayward Hebert of Kaplan and Beatrice and her husband, Danny Gaspard of Forked Island; one sister, Gladys Breaux of Nunez; 19 grandchildren; and 34 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph "J.C." Hargrave; her daughter, Deborah Hargrave; and her parents, Elie Breaux and the former Edita Touchet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Friday, April 20, 2012 from 4 p.m. until services with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m.
