Kaplan—Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Chapel honoring the life of Mercy Jules Jr., 56, who died Monday, April 23, 2012 at his sister's home in Kaplan. Reverend Keith Landry will be officiating the services.

He is survived by one son, Zerrick Nelson of Atlanta, Georgia; one granddaughter, Zhane Nelson of Orlando, Florida; and his two sisters, Patricia Rudd ad Sheli Jules, both of Kaplan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mercy Jules Sr. and Wilda Norman Trahan; two brothers, Orley Trahan and Larry Jules; and his maternal grandparents, Edwin Norman Sr. and Olita Boudreaux Norman.
