Donald Alfred Soucy

June 17, 1942 — September 17, 2007

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 20, 2007 at a 11 :30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Donald Alfred Soucy, 65, who died September 17, 2007 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Father Greg Chauvin officiating the services.
Donald was devoted to catholic education for over 31 years. He was a retired principal from Mt. Carmel Elementary School in Abbeville and Our Mother of Peace in Church Point. He was presently employed with Abbeville General Hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Richard Soucy of Abbeville; one son, Matthew Joseph Soucy and wife Hollie of Erath; two daughters, Jennifer LeBlanc of Houston and Emily Soucy of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Trey and Eric LeBlanc of Houston and Macie Soucy of Erath; one brother, Paul Soucy and wife Joline of Pelham, New Hampshire; and two nephews, Paul and Michael Soucy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Napoleon Soucy and the former Lucienne Millette.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Wednesday, September 19th from 10 am. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Thursday, September 20th from 8 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
