Ricky James Sheffield

Abbeville—Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Ricky James Sheffield, 56, who died Thursday, April 26, 2012 in Baton Rouge.

He will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Pastor Butch Labauve officiating the services.

Ricky was awarded Floral Designer of the Year in 1988. He was a native of Abbeville and resided in Baton Rouge.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Domingue Sheffield a native of Abbeville and resident of Baton Rouge; daughter, Alison Sheffield Denicola of Baton Rouge; parents, A.J. and Shirley Sheffield of Abbeville; sister, Sherri S. Logan of Lafayette; granddaughter, Grace Katherine Denicola; two nieces, Brittney Logan and Olivia Logan both of Lafayette; and a nephew, Spencer Logan of Houston.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Leta Landry; and paternal grandparents, Angus and Annie Sheffield.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
