Tammy R. Doucet

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held Friday, May 4, 2012 at a 2:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Tammy R. Doucet, 45, who died Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Clint Trahan officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Jake Vidrine, Shea Vidrine, Nicholas Richard, Lucas Tate, Jonathan Tate, Damian Doucet, Scott Richard, Coby Richard, and Brett Richard.

Tammy has been teaching for 24 years and has been teaching at Rene Rost Middle School for over 20 years. Also she was a longtime sponsor of Beta Club and 4-H, as well as, assisting in coaching softball.

She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Ned G. Doucet of Kaplan; two children, Joseph Elton Doucet and Bella Lynn Doucet of Kaplan; and her sister, Charmaine R. Vidrine and her husband, John of Crowley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Brenda Richard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Avenue, on Thursday, May 3, 2012 from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.; Friday, May 4, 2012 from 8 a.m. until the procession departs for the church.
