She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Jason Hebert, Richard Dale LeBlanc, Connie Sue LeBlanc, Jerome Abshire, Dean Allen Abshire and Donald LeBlanc. Honorary pallbearers will be Bonnie Ann Richard, Bernard Lee Richard and Jude Couvillion.
Isabelle was a volunteer and substitute teacher at Mt. Carmel High School in Abbeville, Louisiana in years 1955 to 1964. She was known to the students as "Miss. Belle".
Her hobbies include growing flowers.
She is survived by her son, Bernard Lee Richard of Abbeville; and daughter, Bonnie Ann Richard of Abbeville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard S. Richard; mother, Olive Lemaire Broussard; father, Antime Broussard, Jr.; and brothers, Sebray and Harry Broussard.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Thursday, May 10, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family for "The Prevention of Child Abuse"---in lieu of flowers.
