Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Victory Lighthouse Church honoring the life of Rita Fay Champagne Breaux, 48, who died Sunday, May 6, 2012.
She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery with Pastor Deborah Randall officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Chad Segura, Jeremy Alleman, Justin LeBlanc, Tony Breaux, Jr., Brandon Darby and Jake Quintana. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus Breaux, II and Matthew Breaux.
She is survived by her husband, Marcus Joseph Breaux; two sons, Marcus Joseph Breaux, II and wife, Kelly of Church Point and Matthew Joseph Breaux of Erath; two daughters, Amber Thomas and fiancé, Jake Quintana of Erath and Maegan Monteaux and husband, Tyler of Abbeville; father, Elie Champagne, Sr.; four brothers, Larry Champagne and wife, Grace, Elie Champagne, Jr. and fianceé, Nora Latiolais, Rayford Champagne, Sr. and wife, Bonnie, and John Champagne; two sisters, Susan Sons and husband, Neal and Delana Champagne and fiancé, Bryan Trahan; and seven grandchildren, Brandon, Kevin, Emily, Amalee, Paytn, Jacie and Camryn.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey Lange Champagne.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Victory Lighthouse Church, 1606 N. Lafitte Rd., on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until time of services on Thursday.
