Bradley Dartez

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Wednedsay, May 16, 2012 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Bradley Dartez, 57, who died Monday, May 14, 2012 at his residence.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend William C. Blanda officiating the services. Pallbearers will be David Lippman, Micah Dartez, Jeremy Richard, Brian Richard, Brian Landry and Ronald Ferguson.

Bradley was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #2281. Bradley worked in the oil industry for over 30 years and was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Cynthia Richard Dartez; two daughters, Mandy D. Richard and her husband, Travis of Maurice and Heather D. Willis and her husband, Nicholas of Kaplan; grandchildren, Bailey Lynne Richard and Grant Stansel Richard; step granddaughter, Jenna Kathryn Willis; mother-in-law, Marjorie T. Richard; father-in-law, Joseph L. Richard; brother, Rene Dartez; and two sisters, Yvonne Primeaux and Shirley Hebert.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy Joseph Dartez and the former Emily Matthews; sister, Doris Whitmore; and nephew, Andy Whitmore.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from noon until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, May 16, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
