Dudless Edward Landry

ABBEVILLE- Funeral
services will be held Thursday, September 27, 2007 at a 11 :00 a.m.. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Theresa Catholic Church honoring the life of Dudless Edward Landry, 75, who died September 25, 2007 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Matt Landry, Eric Landry, Patrick Lege', Paul Allen Landry, Bruce Hodge, Wayne LeBlanc, Rickey Broussard and Eddie Harrington.
He was a veteran of the United States Army who served our country during the Korean Conflict. He saw action in three major battles and received numerous medals and citations. Dudless was a carpenter until his retirement in 1989 due to medical problems.
He is survived by his wife, Lee Anna Trahan Landry; two sons, Riley Landry and Curney Landry; two granddaughters, Amber Landry and Danielle L. Lege and her husband Patrick "P.J." Lege; two grandsons, Matt Landry and Eric Landry; daughter-in-law, Gemma Landry; one step grandson, Bruce Broussard; twin brother, Dudley J. Landry of New Iberia; three sisters, Mrs. Roy (Vearline) Broussard of Lafayette, Mrs. Percy (Betty) Schexnaider of Forked Island and Mrs. Robert (Audrey) Harrington of Grove, Texas; and in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Thear Trahan of Maurice.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul J. Landry and Evena Broussard Landry and one daughter, Linda Gail Landry.
He was a member of the American Legion Vermilion Post #29.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home, 209 South St. Charles, Abbeville, Wednesday, September 26th from 8:00 am. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Thursday, September 27th from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when the procession will depart for the church.
