Gueydan—Funeral services will be held Monday, May 21, 2012 at a 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Mazie Eve LeMaire, 89, who died Friday, May 18, 2012 at Gueydan Memorial Guest Home. She will be laid to rest at Hebert Cemetery with Reverend Jason Vidrine officiating the services.

She is survived by two sons, Ronnie L. LeMaire and his wife Deanna of Gueydan, and Patrick LeMaire and his wife Charleen of Carencro; one daughter, Donna L. and her husband Clyde Reese Jr. of Gueydan; two sisters, Lula Mae Schexnider of Bridge City, TX, and Joyce and her husband Louis "Buddy" Sarver of Ebenezer; three brothers, Theodore "Black" Hebert and his wife Mary of Bridge City, TX, Rene "Hugh" Hebert and his wife Shirley of Amarillo, TX, and James Mahlen Hebert and his wife Goldie of Kaplan; seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee "Jap" LeMaire; her parents, Edvar and Alice Hebert; and her brother, Mason Hebert.

The family would like to express a special word of thanks to the staff of Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital for the excellent care given.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth Street, on Sunday, May 20, 2012 from 10:00 a.m until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.; Monday, April 21, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. until the procession departs for church.
