Funeral
services will be held Saturday,
September 29, 2007 at a 11 :00
a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in
St. Mary Magdalen Church
honoring the life of Wilbert Joseph Touchet, 73, who died
September 27, 2007 at his
residence.
He will be laid to rest at St.
Mary Magdalen Cemetery with
Reverend Greg Chauvin
officiating the services.
Pallbearers were Carroll
Baudoin, Curvis Derouen, Floyd
Stelly, Cory Touchet, Mark
Baudoin and Eldes Touchet.
He was an avid sports fan
who once played basketball for
SLI (ULL). His hobbies were
working in his garden and yard.
He loved being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife,
Theresa Joy Coleman Touchet
of Abbeville; two sons, Duane
Touchet and his wife Victoria of
Abbeville and Cory Touchet and
his wife Penny of Cow Island;
two granddaughters, Korri Lane
Touchet of Cow Island and
Elizabeth Grace Touchet of
Abbeville; two brothers, Lourse
Touchet and his wife Marie of
Abbeville and Eldes Touchet and
his wife Eurice of Abbeville; and
two sisters, Mildred Hebert of
Abbeville and Joyce Lou Baudoin
and her husband Carroll of
Abbeville.
He was preceded in death by
his parents, Arno Touchet and
the former Ceba Lege; brothers,
Linus Touchet, Clourse Touchet
and his infant twin brother; and
sisters, Lelias Broussard and
Hazel Touchet.
He was a devoted
grandfather who loved his
grandchildren.
The family requests that
visiting hours be observed at
Vincent Funeral Home, 209
South St. Charles, Abbeville,
Friday, September 28th from
12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a
rosary to be prayed at 7:00 p.m.;
Saturday, September 29th from
8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when
the procession will depart for the
church.
