Betty Broussard Olds

November 18, 1937 — May 26, 2012

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Betty B. Olds, 74, the former Mrs. Louis Hebert of Abbeville, who died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at her residence in Erath surrounded by her four daughters, Lisa, Donna, Shirley and Elizabeth.

She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Patrick (T-Boy) Lemaire, Todd Hebert, T-Lloyd Ledet, Don Davis, Neil Williams, and Donald Choate. Honorary Pallbearers will be Louis Allen Lemaire and Christopher Lemaire.

She is survived by 4 daughters, Lisa Williams and husband Neil, Donna Choate and husband Donald, Shirley Sonnier and husband Casey, and Elizabeth Davis and husband Don; 10 grandchildren,Chad, T-Lloyd, Stephanie, Todd, Louis Allen, Patrick, Christopher, Pam, Chris and Theresa; 20 great grandchildren, and many friends who loved her very much.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Olds; parents, Odon Broussard and Theresa Fernandez Broussard; brother Richard Dale Broussard (Rick) of Lafayette who died on Friday, April 27, 2012 due to a tragic car accident. He was the owner of Advance Composite Manufacturing and also owned Scandals night club in Lafayette. Both Betty and Rick will be sadly missed by all those who have ever known and loved them.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. a rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. from 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 until time of service
