KAPLAN — Memorial Services will be held at a later date honoring the life of Joseph Emery Simon Jr., 77, who died Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Vermilion Health Care Center.

He is survived by his wife of thirty five years, Dorothy S. Simon of Kaplan; seven sons, Michael Simon and his wife Lynette of Abbeville, Wilbe Simon of Abbeville, Randall Simon and his wife Dona of Abbeville, David Simon of Baton Rouge, Samuel Dwayne Simon and his wife Amiee of Crowley, Troy Simon of Abbeville, and Donny Simon of Lake Charles; one daughter, Jane Simon and her husband Steve Naquin of Abbeville; thirty grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by one son, Steven Simon, and his parents, Joseph Emery Simon Sr. and Eunice Mathiew LeBlanc.
